‘Marie’s workshop was like no other workshop I ever experienced. She pushed us beyond limits we didn’t even know existed within us, and in doing so, helped us to find out many things about ourselves. Through this workshop we discovered that clowning is much more complex than we often perceive and that there is a very wide range of skills involved in the process. These skills are extremely interesting and useful to us as performing artists. Marie conducts the workshops in such a way that you are constantly active, challenged and learning something new that is relatable and valuable. I would definitely recommend these workshops to people who are looking to develop artistically!’
– Florinda Camilleri, professional dancer
‘Marie’s clown workshop was really eye opening for me as a performer and dancer. She creates a safe space, where you feel taken care of, which makes you want to just throw yourself out in the tasks! She is really good with guiding you as an already trained dancer into places out of your comfort zone where you practice how to come closer, to yourself, your colleagues and the audience. This is a practice of presence that I am now bringing into my own work! I am really happy for having been introduced to this technique!’
– Linn Fletcher, Uppercut Dance Theatre
‘It is an intensive and dynamic course which puts the responsibility of developing as an artist on yourself. In this vein, it was up to us to be clear on what skills and theatrical facets we were interested in developing, both holistically as a group and individually. Through the course I was challenged to push out of my own comfort zone, to experiment, and to play. It was a fantastic experience, one which I highly recommend to anyone out there serious about their development as an artist’

‘I discovered the world of Physical theater when I joined the Masquerade Physical Theater Company under the direction of Marie Keiser-Nielsen . We had a weekly 3 hours intensive class which allowed me to really understand acting linked to movement. We worked on developing our creativity through the use of our bodies and went through improvisation, ensemble, clown and mask techniques. We achieved to put together an entirely devised piece of work, which we put successfully on stage in June 2016. This fantastic experience has definitely been enhanced by the skills of our teacher and mentor Marie Keiser-Nielsen . Marie is incredibly dedicated and passionate in her approach of teaching and had the ability to transmit her enthusiasm to our company. She is not only a talented actress, dancer and director, she is above all truly inspirational’
